I am Matt Dodson -

I am running for United States Senate as a Democratic Socialist. We need strong people in Congress and I am a fighter. I am a USAF veteran. I have a bachelors in History from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I have lived in New Mexico for thirty five years. I am a business owner and community organizer. I have run for office five times in a very conservative stronghold, Farmington. So, have I ever been elected to office? No. But, knocking on thousands of doors, registering over a thousand voters, and speaking to many, many young people, people appreciate my honesty and willingness to call out those in power. I will not take any corporate money. I am not afraid to take on the difficult fight. I have ADHD and I am autistic (both together are called AuDHD). My autistic superpower is that I have a strong sense of right and wrong. I have a very strong sense of justice and of injustice. I consistently even take on “Democrats” who are failing to fight for the average working family. I am a Democrat only because we have a two party system. I have been fighting the leaders of the Democratic Party for over fifteen years now.

We have serious issues that need to be dealt with. If all politicians asked these two questions before voting on a bill: “Does this bill greatly benefit the 99% or the 1%?”; and “Does this bill in the long run benefit your grandchildren and their grandchildren?”; we would live in an entirely different state, country, and world. I will only vote for bills that benefit the 99% and future generations.

NM State Election Law requires candidates running for some offices to obtain nominating petition signatures from voters registered within the district they are seeking. The number of signatures necessary varies. To sign a nominating petition, you must be a registered voter in the district the candidate is running in. You can only sign a petition for one candidate per contest.
